Preparing For An EFT Session

Choose a Comfortable Environment

Please find a quiet and comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed during the session. It’s essential to create a peaceful atmosphere to enhance the effectiveness of EFT. If you have children consider getting someone to baby sit during your session if that is possible. Have a tissue box and a glass of water in arms reach for when you need it.

Set Aside Adequate Time

Allocate approximately 90 minutes for your session. Rushing through the process can limit its effectiveness, so ensure you have enough time to focus on your emotions and thoughts. Everyone’s experience after an EFT session is different, you may feel light and energetic or you may need a rest and nap afterwards.

Prepare to Be Open and Honest

EFT is at its most effective when you approach it with openness and honesty regarding your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. However, if you ever feel uneasy about delving into a particular issue, please communicate openly. Addressing these concerns is a collaborative effort, and it’s of utmost importance to Jess that you feel safe and empowered to address anything that arises during the process.

Embrace Self-Compassion

As you embark on your EFT session, be sure to nurture self-compassion and leave behind self-criticism and judgment. EFT involves the delicate process of addressing and releasing emotions, which can sometimes be challenging, particularly if they’ve accumulated over time. Keep in mind that EFT may not yield immediate or miraculous results. This is especially true when dealing with long-standing issues. It may take multiple sessions to experience significant changes, and remember, the journey is unique for each individual.

Follow Post-Session Recommendations

Following your EFT session, Jess may offer you recommendations or exercises to undertake between sessions. It’s important to be ready and willing to follow these instructions, as they can greatly contribute to reinforcing the benefits of EFT.

Tech Recommendations

Our sessions will be conducted via Zoom. To ensure a smooth experience, please have the program up and running at least 5 minutes before your session. This will allow time for any potential updates to be downloaded and installed, preventing any interruptions during your session.
